Video: J-Lo voor 15 miljoen dollar opnieuw naar 'American Idol'
Het staat vrijwel vast dat Jennifer Lopez terugkeert als jurylid bij American Idol. Ook de website Deadline.com meldt dat de 44-jarige zangeres een contract heeft getekend ter waarde van 15 miljoen dollar dat haar aan het komende seizoen van de populaire talentenshow bindt.
Lopez en American Idol gold al eerder als een succesvolle combinatie. J-Lo kwam in 2010 voor het eerst in het panel op een moment dat haar eigen carrière in het slop zat. Ze wist met haar inbreng de show te redden na het vertrek van Simon Cowell.
Internationale Superster Gloria Estefan op Night of the Proms ( 22- 23 November Ahoy 2013)
Night of the Proms krijgt een heel bijzondere vrouwelijke ‘touch’: na Amy Macdonald en de Japanse pianiste Hiromi is nu ook de zevenvoudige Grammy Award-winnares Gloria Estefan aan het programma toegevoegd.
Organisator Mojo Concerts bevestigt dat Estefan op 22 en 23 november optreedt in de Rotterdamse Ahoy tijdens het jaarlijkse muziekevenement.

Nieuw debuut Ephrem J en Alexandra (Bachata)
Miami, FL, donderdag – (F & F Media Corp.) De Curaçaose zanger-componist Ephrem J maakt een nieuw debuut in de Tropical Billbord. En dat doet hij met een nieuwe single die afwijkt van al zijn vorige werk, doordat het “een nummer is met een heel bijzonder geluid”. En hiervoor kan hij op de speciale samenwerking van rekenen één van de meest geliefde zangeressen uit het tropische muziekgenre; Alexandra.
Het nummer heet “Noche de Maravillas” en is gearrangeerd door het ex-Aventura lid Lenny Santos. In de tweede week van januari ging hij in première en wordt nu al gedraaid door radiozenders in de Verenigde Staten en Puerto Rico. Bovendien is het nummer te verkrijgen op iTunes, Amazon en andere websites voor digitale muziek.
Prince Royce and Jenni Rivera Are Top Winners at Premio Lo Nuestro Awards
This year's edition of Premio Lo Nuestro was charged with all kinds of emotions. From the moving tribute to the legendary Diva of Banda MusicJenni Rivera to the exciting performances on the stage, these popular Latin music awards celebrated their 25th anniversary with an unforgettable night of music and special honors.
As far as the winners go, Bachata singer Prince Royce swept the event with six nods thanks to his album Phase II and the single "El Verdadero Amor Perdona," which the artist from the Bronx recorded alongside theMexican Rock band Mana. With the trophies he took home, Prince Royce won another round of the never ending Bachata face-off against Romeo Santos.
Following Prince Royce, the popular Latina singer Jenni Rivera, whose sudden death shocked the Latin music world last year, was honored with five awards in the General, Pop and Regional categories. Besides the trophies, a group of artists led by Jenni's brother Lupillo Rivera, paid an emotional tribute to the Mexican-American diva.
Apart from Prince Royce and Jenni Rivera, the list of winners include big stars such as Mana, Wisin y Yandel, 3BallMTY, Daddy Yankee, Jesse & Joy,Vicente Fernandez, Gerardo Ortiz and La Arrolladora Banda El Limon, just to mention a few. During the ceremony, the famous Spanish singer Alejandro Sanz was honored with the Excellence Award and received a standing ovation from the crowd at the American Airlines Arena in Miami. Alejandro Sanz algo got the Artist of the Year - Male Award in the Pop category.
The 25th edition of Premio Lo Nuestro featured top performances by artists like Juan Luis Guerra, Pitbull, Chino y Nacho, David Bisbal and Olga Tañon. Carlos Vives' comeback and the duets featuring Ricky Martin and Draco Rosa, and Prince Royce and Thalia were some of the top acts of the night. All things considered, this year's edition or Premio Lo Nuestro consolidated these awards as one of the most important Latin music shows of the year.

Zomercarnaval Rotterdam 2013 dit jaar op 15 juni en Battle of Drums op 14 juni 2013
CURACAO – Het Caribische gevoel keert elke zomer een dagje terug in de Rotterdamse binnenstad tijdens het Zomercarnaval. Dit jaar (2013) wordt het evenement over een andere boeg gegooid en valt het samen met het Dunya Festival.
Het Dunya Festival is een gratis festival dat ieder jaar in Rotterdam georganiseerd wordt. Het festival staat garant voor een dag vol cultuur, muziek, poëzie en lekkernijen uit alle windstreken. Aan dit festival wordt nu het Caribische Zomercarnaval toegevoegd.

Door het verenigen van de twee evenementen, verschuift de datum van het carnaval. In plaats van op de laatste zaterdag van juli, valt Zomercarnaval nu op zaterdag 15 juni 2013. De parade dendert vanaf 13.00 uur door de bekende straten van Rotterdam. De traditionele Battle of Drums vindt vrijdag 14 juni 2013 plaats om 19.00 uur.
